The purpose of the pilot grant program is to incubate both basic and translational research projects in health promotion economics to improve our understanding of the root of the issues and the ability to implement effective policies.
Successful proposals will be those that promise to promote the development of new insights and/or methods for translating those insights into clinical and policy contexts. In particular, submissions that involve substantive partnerships between researchers and community organizations interested in health promotion issues are encouraged.
Applications are rated based on scientific merit; adequacy and feasibility of the research plan; importance of the research question; potential to have direct, practical application; innovation and originality in approach, methods, or aims; plans for dissemination to researchers and the public, where appropriate, and relevance to the goals of the Center.
