Conference Synopsis
The Annual Health Economics Conference is a small invitational conference designed to facilitate the exposure to and discussion of cutting edge research in health economics. In 2008, the conference was hosted by the Center for Health and the Social Sciences at The University of Chicago on March 20-21st.
2008 Agenda
Both theoretical and empirical papers on health economics topics were invited and the participation of economists in all fields whose current research focuses on health care issues was encouraged. Papers were chosen primarily for their originality, innovativeness, and rigor. A portion of the conference focuced on topics in pharmaceutical economics, including Medicare Part D.
