Summer Program in Outcomes Research Training (SPORT) Kicks off July 7th

The 2008 Summer Program in Outcomes Research Training (SPORT), an opportunity for faculty, fellows, and MD/PhD students to receive training in outcomes research methods begins this Monday, July 7th with a Welcome Breakfast. During the summer quarter, students
enrolled in SPORT participate in three courses and two workshop series that will help them build skills needed to perform an outcomes research project.

Twenty-two students are registered for this year's program. Most participants are sponsored by departments at the University of Chicago including: Medicine, Pediatrics, and Surgery. In addition, the program received funding this year from the AHRQ and Society for Hospital Medicine to support four hospitalists from across the country in particiating in SPORT this summer.

This one of a kind experience bring over 15 University of Chicago faculty together to teach the courses and workshops.
