Welcome
The University of Chicago Program for Pharmaceutical Policy (UCP3) promotes research, training, and dissemination of knowledge concerning pharmaceutical policy issues. Created in January of 2006 with the support of the Merck Company Foundation, the program will focus on three areas within pharmaceutical policy:
-
Regulation of the pharmaceutical industry
-
Health technology assessment and other policies that inform pharmaceutical coverage and reimbursement decisions
-
Factors contributing to pharmaceutical innovation
Towards those ends, UCP3 funds pilot research projects pertinent to the study of pharmaceutical policy, supports predoctoral scholars, and provides an infrastructure for interdisciplinary collaboration among faculty.
